Rita DiMartino

Rita DiMartino was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. DiMartino has been active in Republican and Hispanic politics for many years and is currently a member of the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Before her appointment by President Bush, DiMartino was the Vice President of Congressional Relations for AT&T. Active at all levels of Republican politics, DiMartino has been elected as a Delegate-at-Large to seven Republican National Conventions, served on the 1992 Platform Committee, and was elected Executive Vice-Chair of The New York State Republican Committee in 1988.

Currently DiMartino is a member of:

  • The Council on Foreign Relations
  • The City University of New York (CUNY) Board of Trustees
  • the Hispanic Council on International Relations
  • the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials

She is also the Executive Vice Chair of the Board of Bronx Lebanon Hospital.
